Optical Exploration
For this section, we decided to explore optics along with our learning about waves. It was mostly book work along with Mr. Williams giving lectures, so we didn't have a project to go along with it. We learned about the physics of light, electromagnetic and color spectrum. We answered a lot of questions in our textbook like Why is the sky blue? Why is that water blue? Those are 2 of the many questions we looked at in the textbook.
Concepts
There has been a lot of concepts in this project. But I am only going to write about a couple things
Refraction: When wave meets boundary between 2 mediums and changes direction as it passes through
Convex Mirror: Curves out, makes image smaller
Concave Mirror: Curves in, makes bigger image

Concave lenses: Lenses that make images seem bigger, like a magnifying glass. Concave lenses make virtual images, or when the object is in between the object and the lense
Converging lenses: When the object is outside of the focal point with the lens. Converging lenses make real images or when the focal point is in between the object and the lens.
Reflection:
This section was an OK , but I wish we could have done a project along with this. But it was good because it answered different random questions that people don't really wonder. This reminds me why a lot of "Why is ..." questions have "because Physics" as an answer. This section could have been better but I liked it still.
